7 Assembly
25. Install a new gasket and the rear housing onto the case. Use
Loctite 272 threadlocker on all bolts and torque to specifi cation.

26. If not already completed, drive a new seal into the rear housing
using Rear Output Seal Driver shown on page 54. Figure 7.50.

27. Using a torque wrench on the yoke nut, check the intermediate
shaft rolling torque is 50±6 lb-in. If the rolling torque is not within
specifi cation, the rear carrier and intermediate shaft rear bearing
cup will need to be removed and shims of the correct thickness
inserted behind the bearing cup. Figure 7.51.

28. Install the rear output yoke onto the shaft with yoke nut and
torque to specifi cation. Figure 7.52.
