EBDmaybeinoperative.Insuchacase,stopthecar
assoonassafetypermitsandseekanMGAuthorised
Repairerimmediately.DONOTdrivethecarwiththe
brakingsystemmalfunctionindicatorlampilluminated.
ElectronicBrakeAssistance(EBA)
Y ourcarisequippedwithElectronicBrakeAssistance
(EBA),whichreactstothespeedatwhichthebrakepedal
isapplied.If,inanemergencysituationthebrakesare
appliedfasterthanthelimitssetwithinthesystem,then
fullABSapplicationisappliedtobringthecartoastopin
theshortestpossibledistance.
HillHoldControl(HHC)
HHChaslimitationswhensubjecttoadverse
conditionssuchaswetoricysurfacesand
steepslopes.Andthedriver'sattentionto
drivingsafetycannotbecompromisedeven
whenHHCisenabled.
HHCisnotasubstituteforparkingbrake
applicationwhencarryingoutahillstart.
DONOTexitthevehiclewithonlyHHC
applied,itmayleadtoaseriousaccident
whenHHCreleases.
Thecarmayrollif'pull-away'isnotachieved
immediatelyafterreleasingthebrakepedal.
Alwaysensurethebrakepedalispressedor
parkingbrakeapplieduntildriveistakenup
bytheclutch.
Firmapplicationofthebrakepedalwhen
stoppingisrequiredbyHHCtogenerate
sufcientbrakepressuretomaintainhold.
