Thiswarninglightisusedtoindicatean
engineoperationfaulthasbeendetectedbythe
enginemanagementsystem.Thelampilluminatesand
extinguishesasalampcheckwhentheignitionisswitched
on.Ifanon-emissionsrelatedfaultoccurs,thelampwill
failtoextinguishorilluminatewhilstdriving.Pleaseseek
anMGAuthorisedRepairerattheearliestopportunity.
EngineCoolantT emperatureWarningLamp-
Red/Blue
Thiswarninglightisusedtoindicatethe
temperatureofenginecoolant.Itconsistsof2colours,
blueandred.Thewarninglightilluminatesasasystem
checkwhentheignitionisswitchedon.Ifthewarninglight
illuminatesblue,itindicatesthatthecoolanttemperature
islow,andifthewarninglightilluminatesred,itindicates
thatthecoolanttemperatureishigh.Ifthecoolant
temperaturecontinuestorise,thewarninglightwillash
accompaniedbyanaudiblewarning.Ifthesystemdetects
thatthesignalismissing,thewarninglightwillilluminate
andashblue.SeekanMGAuthorisedRepaireratthe
earliestopportunity.
Iftheengineistoohot,severedamagecouldresult;stop
thevehicleassoonassafetypermitsandseekqualied
assistanceoranMGAuthorisedRepairerattheearliest
opportunity.
ImmobiliserSystemWarningLamp-Red
Thiswarninglightdoesnotilluminatewhenthe
ignitionisswitchedon,ithastwofunctions.
Ifthewarninglightremainson,itindicatesthatthereisan
immobiliservericationfailure,thiscouldbeaninvalidkey
insertedintotheignitionswitch-pleaseensurethecorrect
keyisused.
