tonextavailablelowgear.
WithManualModeselected,ifthedrivermakesan
unreasonablegearselection,requestsanupshiftduring
lowenginespeeds,orrequestsadownshiftduringhigh
enginespeeds,thetransmissionwillnotrespondandwill
remaininthecurrentgear.Ifthevehicleisdrivenand
theenginespeedfallsbelowapresetthresholdincertain
gears,thetransmissionwillautomaticallyshiftdownto
thenextgeartoavoidenginestalling;whenthevehicle
accelerates,iftheenginespeedexceedsapresetlimit,the
transmissionwillautomaticallyshiftuptothenextgearto
protecttheengine.
WithManualmode,theinformationcentrewillprovide
gearshiftindications,theUporDownarrowisdisplayedat
therightsideofthegearpositionnumber,indicatingtothe
drivertoupshiftordownshiftwhentheconditionspermit.

AutomaticT ransmissionFailure
Iftheautomatictransmissiondevelopsaproblem,
theengineemissionmalfunctionindicatorlampinthe
instrumentpackwillilluminateorthemessagecentrewill
display“EP”.
