Cruisecontrolenablesthedrivertomaintainaconstant
roadspeedwithoutusingtheacceleratorpedal.This
isparticularlyusefulformotorwaycruising,orforany
journeywhereaconstantspeedcanbemaintainedfora
lengthyperiod.
CruiseControlSystemActivation
Cruisecontrolsystemisoperatedwithaleverlocated,at
theleftsideofthesteeringwheelunderneaththelighting
stalkswitch.
WiththeignitionswitchinpositionON,iftheleverswitch
isinthe'ASLStandby'position(7ingure),thenthe
cruisecontrolisOFF .T osetthecruisecontrolto'Standby'
pulltheleverswitchto'CruiseStandby'(4ingure),the
yellowindicatorlampintheinstrumentpackwillilluminate
indicatingthesystemisin'CruiseStandby'mode.
Withthesystemin'Standby'whenthecurrentvehicle
speedisabove25mph(40km/h),(theoperatingrangeis25-
125mph(40-200km/h)pressthe'CruiseSet'button(6in
gure).Theindicatorintheinstrumentpackwillchangeto
greenandthecruisecontrolwillenterandactivatedstate.
Thetargetspeedofthecruisesystemwillbesetatthe
currentspeed,andthecruisesystemwilltakeeffect.At
