Iftheenginecutsout,orisstalledwhilstStop/Startis
enabled,selectionofneutralandpressingtheclutchpedal
willautomaticallyrestarttheengine.
Note:Extremelylowbatterypowermayresultinthe
enginenotre-startingautomatically,orevenusingthe
key.Inthisinstance,externalpowerisneededtostart
theengineorthebatterywillrequirere-charging.See
thesection‘EmergencyStarting’inthe‘Emergency
Information’Chapter.
Battery
Whenchargingthebattery,startingthecar
withanexternalpowersourceorsupplying
powerfromthevehicle,thenegativecable
mustbeconnectedtoasuitablepositionon
thevehiclebody.Failuretodothiswillresult
ininaccuratebatterypowercalculation
whichwilleffectautomaticStop/Start
control.
DONOTdisconnectthebatterysensorunless
absolutelynecessary.removalwillresultin
inaccuratebatterypowercalculationwhich
willeffectautomaticStop/Startcontrol.
Note:Failuretooperatewithinthefollowing
guidelineswilleffectbatteryperformanceand
automaticStop/Startcontrol:
1Afterpowerinterruptions(batterydisconnection)
theautomaticStop/Startfunctionwillbe
suspendeduntilthevehicleisleftinalockedstate
foratleast4hourswhilstthesystemrelearnsthe
stateofthebattery.
