Withtheenginestoppedintheautomaticstop/start
condition,thefollowingdriveractionswillcausean
automaticrestart,atthistimetheinstrumentpack
indicatorlampisoff.
•ModelswithautomatictransmissionandinDposition:
releasethebrakepedal,orshiftoutofDriveposition..
•Modelswithmanualtransmission:T ransmissionin
Neutralposition:presstheclutchpedaloraccelerator
pedal.
•Vehicleswithautomatictransmission:Releasethebrake
pedalwiththeshiftleverinDposition,ordepress
thebrake/acceleratorpedalwiththeshiftleverinP/N
position,orshiftthelevertoDrive(R/D/S)position.
Withtheenginestoppedintheautomaticstop/start
condition,thefollowingactionswillcauseanautomatic
restart.
•Batterypowerfallsbelowapresetlimit.
•Thevacuuminthebrakingsystemfallsbelowapreset
limit.
•Thevehiclebeginstomove.
•TheStop/Startmainswitchispressed.
AtthistimetheStop/Startfuelsavingsystemindicator
ontheinstrumentwillextinguishtoindicateenginestart

Note:Whenavehiclettedwithamanual
transmissionisunderautomaticStop/Startcontrol
andtheengineisrequiredtorestart,butneutral
positionisnotselected,theenginewillrestartwhen
neutralpositionisselected.
Ifanyofthefollowingconditionsoccurduringautomatic
enginestop,theenginecanonlyberestartedusingthe
key,duringthistimetheinstrumentpackindicatorwill
extinguish.
