autostartthereforethefollowingactions
couldbedangerous:
1Leavingthevehiclewhiletheseatbeltis
stillbuckled,orthereisasubstituteseat
beltbuckleinserted.
2Carryingoutworkorchecksintheengine
compartment.
3Refuellingthevehicle,theignitionmust
beswitched“OFF”orthekeyremoved
fromtheswitch.
4Vehicleswithautomatictransmission:
Leavingthevehiclewhilethegear
selectorisstillinDriveposition(R/D/S).

•Vehicleisstationary,i.e.speed=0mphorkm/h.
•Thevehiclespeedpriortostoppingexceeded6mph
(10km/h).
•Vehicleswithmanualtransmission:Gearboxmustbein
neutralandclutchpedalisreleased.
•Vehicleswithautomatictransmission:thegearisin
Dgearandthebrakepedalisdepressed,enginewill
automaticallystopped.ThenshifttoP/Ngearand
releasethebrakepedal,thevehiclewillkeepthe
shutdownstatus.
•Thedriver’sdoorisclosedandseatbeltissecured.
•Thebonnetisclosed.
•T ransmissioninDrivewithfootbrakepressed.(auto
only)
•Nodemandsonthesteering.(autoonly)

•Coolanttemperatureisbelowapresetlimit.
