PolishingthePaintwork
DONOTusecarpolishcontainingcoarse
abrasives–thesewillremovethepaintlm
anddamagetheglossnish.
Occasionallytreatthepaintsurfacewithanapprovedpolish
containingthefollowingproperties:
•Verymildabrasivestoremovesurfacecontamination
withoutremovingordamagingthepaint.
•Fillingcompoundsthatwillllscratchesandreduce
theirvisibility.
•Waxtoprovideaprotectivecoatingbetweenthepaint
andtheelements.
Note:Ifpossible,avoidapplyingpolishorwax
productstowindowglassandrubberseals.
WiperBlades
Washinwarmsoapywater.DONOTusespiritorpetrol
basedcleaners.
WindowsandMirrors
Regularlycleanallwindows,insideandout,usingan
approvedglasscleaner.
Windscreen:Inparticular,cleantheoutsideofthescreen
withglasscleanerafterwashingthecarwithwashandwax
products,andbeforettingnewwiperblades.
Rearscreen:Cleantheinsidewithasoftcloth,usingaside
tosidemotiontoavoiddamagingtheheatingelements.
Note:DONOTscrapeoruseabrasivecleanersonthe
insideoftherearscreen–thiswilldamagetheheating
elements.
Mirrors:Washwithsoapywater .Useaplasticscraperto
removeice.DONOTuseabrasivecleaningcompounds
ormetalscraper.
PlasticComponents
Anyplasticcomponentsshouldbecleanedusing
conventionalcleaningmethodsandnotbetreatedwith
abrasivematerials.
