machine and weighing stand is a so-called force shunt, i.e. there is a
connection between the machine and weighing stand to the loading cells.
Remedy:
Replace the weighing module. Remove the shipping struts. There must be a
visible gap between the machine and weighing stand.
3.4 Implausible Test Results
Symptom:
Weighing results when calibrating are implausible, e.g., instead of the
inserted 10kg the display shows a reading that is much lower or much higher.
Cause:
One or two loading cells have failed.
Remedy:
With a test weight (must be explicitly defined; the higher, the better), test the
display. Using this defined test weight, test each loading cell individually and
identify defective loading cell(s).
3.5 Much-Lower Weight Displayed
Symptom:
During the post-calibration test, a much lower weight was displayed than
what’s actually in the machine.
Cause:
Power was shut off after calibration. The user did not wait for the module to
advance on the soiled side before the start of calibration.
Remedy:
Do not shut off power during logon, calibration or testing of the weighing
system/weighing module! After calibration is selected the user must always
wait for the module to advance on the soiled side. Only then can calibration
be started!
