2.4 Explanation of Terms
Term/Concept Explanation
Tare/taring When starting a program with an empty machine, press the “Tare”
button. The displayed weight will be set to zero and the machine
can now be loaded.
Calibration Calibration is a one-time thing. It is used to orient the machine to
the so-called load characteristics. Calibration is not to be confused
with taring. Taring does not change the load characteristics!
