After power is switched on, a
welcome greeting is shown.
After a few seconds buzzer
sounds and “Data fault no. 123”
is displayed. Control could not
carry out a complete backup
data comparison between ELP
235 and EW 235 modules.

Tachogenerator could be short-

Data exchange between control
and frequency converter
modules has been interrupted.
Open circuit in connection from
ELP 235 plug N1L_ST11 and
EFU 235 plug N1D_ST3, or F3
motor thermostat has cut out.
Frequency converter relay K1/9
does not switch. Frequency
converter defective.
Tachogenerator signal short
circuit registered during
measuring speed.
Without a wash
program in progress:
No display. During a
wash program: ”M”,
“Drive system fault.
Call the service
department if restart
does not work.”

Tachogenerator connections
open- or short-circuited. Only
one lead between motor and
frequency converter defective.
After program start in washing,
information is displayed and
drum turns slowly for 3 s. After
program start in spin, infor-
mation is displayed and for
entire duration of spin cycle
control repeatedly operates
drive motor for 3 s slowly and
then stops.
Without a wash
program in progress:
No display. During a
wash program: “Drive
system fault. Safety
time active! xx min yy
s”

connection fault after
safety time
Tachogenerator defective.
Before door is released, safety
time until drum is definitely
stationary must have elapsed.
Every power interruption during
safety time will cause this fault
to be registered again and
safety time to restart from
beginning.
