system - NTC 1
NTC sensor open-circuited,
relay contact 13, 14 on 1K1/1
and/or 2K1/1 closed outside of
a heating phase. Heating
system, NTC 1 fault or relay
1K1/1 and/or 2K1/1 faulty.
Without wash pro-gram
in progress: No
display. During wash
program: “Heating
system fault. Program
stop. Press start
button. Program can
only run without heat.”
Actual temper-ature
changes to “Cold” in
display.

system - NTC 1 -
Disinfection
NTC sensor short- or open-
circuited. In current block
disinfection is programmed in
Thermostop step. This special
fault can only occur in
disinfection programs.
“HEATING SYSTEM
FAULT! Call the
service department if
restart does not work.”

F4138 Fault - Heating
system - Heating-dry
protection on contact
Heating-dry protection fault.
Outside of a heating phase on a
machine with electric heating a
monitoring contact on heating-
dry protection (relay contact 13,
14 on 1K1/1 or 2K1/1) closed.
For safety reasons no further
heating is carried out.
“Heating system fault
Program stop. Press
the start button.
Program can only run
without heat.”

F4139 Relay contact 13, 14
on 1K1/1 and/or
2K1/1 open-circuited
during a heating
phase
During a heating phase heating-
dry protection contacts do not
close correctly. Heating
continues. If control does not
register a temperature increase
via the NTC sensor after 3 min,
a fault is indicated.
Within first 3 min of a
wash program: No
display. Without
temperature increase
after 3 min during a
wash program: “Heat-
ing system fault. Pro-
gram stop. Press start
button. Program can
only run w/out heat.”

F4140 Relay contact 13, 14
on 1K1/1 and 2K1/1
short-circuited during
a heating phase
Electrically heated machine.
During a program outside of a
heating phase heating-dry
protection contacts are closed.
A fault is indicated. Outside of a
program there is no indication
but a risk of fire!
Without a wash
program in progress:
No display. During a
program outside of a
heating phase:
“HEATING SYSTEM
FAULT! Switch off the
main switch. Call the
service department.”

Electrically heated machine.
During a program and during a
heating phase only one or no
heating-dry protection contact is
closed (relay contact 13, 14 on
1K1/1 and/or 2K1/1). If control
does not register a temperature
increase of 5°C via NTC sensor
after 3 min, a fault is indicated.
Heating-dry protection contacts
defective. Heater relay solenoid
not activated. Heater relay 1K1
or 2K1 defective. Level switch
B1/14, relay contact 11, 14 not
switched with minimum water
level.
