The door will not open.
Problem Possible cause and remedy
Door opening not possible. The door is locked during the wash cycle.
Touch the Start/Stop sensor.
Select Programme cancellation or Add laundry.
The door will unlock and you will be able to pull it open.
There is still water in the drum and the washing machine is
unable to drain.
Clean the drainage system as described in "Opening the
door in the event of a blocked drain outlet and/or power
cut".
At the end of a programme
or when a programme is
cancelled, the following
appears in the display:
Cooling down or Extra
cooling.
To protect the user against scalding, the door cannot be
opened if the suds temperature is higher than 55°C.
Wait until the temperature in the drum has decreased
and the message has gone out in the display.
The following appears in
the display: F -Door lock
fault. Call Miele.
The door lock has jammed.
Call Miele.
Opening the door in the event of a blocked drain outlet and/or power cut
Disconnect the machine from the electrical power supply.
There is a lever behind the detergent drawer panel which opens the access panel to the
drainage system.
For variants with a locked detergent dispenser, the opener is included in the accessory
pack.
Remove the lever.
