If you are familiar with the default settings of the Signature detectors and are not going to
change them, the Sensitivity, Verification, and Pre-Alarm selections can be skipped. You
also do not have to create a message for every device. Instead, when you create your
zones (shown later under Configuring Zones), you can create a message for the zone that
can contain multiple devices. This can save you a lot of data entry time if individual
device messages are not needed. However, assigning a message to each device may
make it easier to locate them if necessary.
The Model command displays the detector type for the serial number you entered. Base
Type displays the base type used by the detector. (An audible base is displayed as a
relay.)
