To configure SLIC detectors:
1. From the SLIC menu, choose Config Detect.
2. Choose Edit > Enter Serial # then enter the serial number of the detector.
You can enter the number manually with the panel’s keypad, or by using the scanning
wand.
Note: The Config Detector screen shows the device address and serial number. The
address shown is the one assigned to the device during the AutoLoop process. Record
this address on your device programming worksheet beside the device serial number.
The address of the device will be used in subsequent programming steps.
3. Choose Message and scan in a text message using the QS-SCAN scanning wand.
4. Choose Sensitivity then select the proper setting for the detector.
The default setting is Least.
5. Choose Verification then select the alarm verification time for the detector.
For our example we’ll leave the default setting, None.
6. Choose Pre-Alarm then select the percentage of the alarm sensitivity setting at which
the detector should report a pre-alarm condition.
For our example we use no pre-alarms (the default).
7. Exit and Save Edits.
8. Repeat steps 2 through 7 for every detector in the system.
9. After the last Save Edits, press Menu on the front of the panel.
This brings you back to the SLIC menu.
