Function
The loader attachment is used to move wood, that cannot be moved
manually, closer to the chipper. It may also be used to manipulate the
wood into the infeed.
Use
The loader assembly is made up of the main boom cylinder, main boom,
jib boom cylinder, jib boom, and grapple. The joysticks at the operators
seat and on the swinging door on the operators side of the machine
control the loader and yoke.
NOTE
Hard contact, “slamming”, the loader against the loader stops will
cause damage to the loader and motors.
Never use the loader to force wood into the chipper.
Always lower loader mount to its lowest position before machine
operation. Failure to do so will result in damage to the discharge
chute.
The Swing Gate Operating Door must be locked and pinned before
operating.
Contact between the loader and power lines will cause
serious injury or death. Always maintain a safe operating
distance between the loaders range of movement and
power lines.
Contact with the loader while it’s in motion or in a
suspended state will cause serious injury or death. Do not
stand or position yourself near the loader during operation.
Move spectators or bystanders out of the operating area of
the loader.
Operating the loader (e.g.: carrying logs) over skid workers
or equipment will result in serious injury, death, and
damage to equipment. Ensure the operating area is clear of
people or equipment before carrying logs.
Transporting the chipper when the grapple is not securely
placed in the holding tray will cause serious injury. Always
secure the grapple in the holding tray before transporting.
