4.8 Starting the engine
Preconditions
☑External start interlock is not active.
☑Emergency air shut-off flaps (if fitted) are open.
DANGER
Rotating and moving engine parts.
Risk of crushing, danger of parts of the body being caught or pulled in!
• Before cranking the engine with starter system, make sure that there are no persons in the en-
gine's danger zone.
WARNING
High level of engine noise when the engine is running.
Risk of damage to hearing!
• Wear ear protectors.
The engine can be started from the following points
