7.4.1 Crankcase breather – Cleaning oil pre-separator element
Preconditions
☑Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
WARNING
Fuels are combustible and explosive.
Risk of fire and explosion!
• Avoid open flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.
• Do not smoke.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves, and safety glasses / facial protection.
WARNING
Compressed air gun ejects a jet of pressurized air.
Risk of injury to eyes and damage to hearing, risk of rupturing internal organs!
• Never direct air jet at people.
• Always wear safety goggles/face mask and ear defenders.
Crankcase breather – Cleaning
oil pre-separator element
1. Remove cover (5) from housing (4).
2. Take off oil pre-separator element (1), gas-
ket (3) and O-ring (2).
3. Wash oil pre-separator element (1) and
housing (4) in fuel and blow out with com-
pressed air.
4. Moisten oil pre-separator element (1) with
engine oil.
5. Place oil pre-separator element (1) with
new gasket (3) and O-ring (2) onto housing
(4) and install cover (5).
6. Clean further oil pre-separator elements in
the same manner.
