Term Definition
Basic machine (later machine)
Self-moving loader equipped with articulated multipurpose frame planned to carry out various functions
using interchangeable attachments.

According to the article 2, b) of the Machine Directive 2006/42/CE it is a machine specified as: device
that after the starting up of a machine or of a tractor, is assembled with the machine or with the tractor
by the same authorized operator in order to modify the function or introduce a new function, to the
extent that this attachment is not a tool.
Produced by the Manufacturer and commercialized by the Manufacturer or by his authorized dealers
(see par. 6.3).
