5.5 Exciter Envelope Section
The Exciter Envelope section produces the modulating signal for the Modal Bank ampli
tudes. The Attack, Decay1, Breakpoint, Decay2, Sustain, and Release parameters of the
Exciter amplitude envelope determine how the amplitude of the sound evolves over time
when a note is played.
Note that the Impulse portion of the signal is very short and can easily be accidently removed
by a long attack.
