Installing and Calibrating the Touch Screen
BesuretoobserveforthefollowingTouchScreencalibrationguidelines:
•Ifnecessary,calibratethetouchscreenaspartoftheinstallationprocess.
•Ifnecessary,recalibratethetouchscreenwhenthesystemisinstalledatitsfinal
location.
•Ifnecessary,recalibratewhenevertheterminalismovedtoanewlocation.
Recalibratethetouch
screenanytimethesystemhasbeendisassembledfor
servicing.
•Ifnecessary,recalibrateiftheharddriveisreimagedorreplaced.Calibration
parametersarestoredintheWindowsregistryandareuniqueforeachtouch
screen,thereforecalibratewheneveranimageorOSloadoccurs.
•Akeyboardmayberequiredto
startthecalibrationifthescreenistoomuchout
ofcalibration.However,mostofthetimeyoucanreachtheStartbuttonorTouch
iconwithyourfingertip/stylus.
•ThelatestcalibrationsoftwarecanbedownloadedfromtheNCRwebsite.

WindowsWindows XP Pro, Windows EP Embedded, and WEPOS
3. DownloadtheMicrochipTouchDriver(version6.43dorlater).
Installing the Driver
Note: Ifyouhaveapreviousversionofanothertouchscreendriverloadedonyour
systemyoumustcompletelyremoveitusingtheControlPanelAdd/Removeprogram
beforecontinuingwiththisinstallationprocess.
1. ExtractthedriverinstallationfilesintotoaworkingdirectoryonthePOS
terminal.
2. RuntheSetup.exeprogramfrom
thisdirectory.
3. Welcomescreen.SelectNext
4. LicenseAgreementscreen.SelectAcceptNext
