Loss
of
pulse
is
handled
as
follows:
The
PULSE
SEARCH
indicator
flashes
if
no
pulse
is
detected
for
3
seconds
or
for
the
period
during
which
five
pulses
would
be
expected
(whichever
is longer).
The
last
valid
measurement
continues
to
be
displayed.
The
displays
go to zero
if
no
pulse
is
detected
for
10
seconds.
The
N-20/N-20P
turns
off
if
no
pulse
is
detected
for
3
minutes.
Changing
Operating
Mode
In
the
spot-check mode, hold
the
measure
button
down
for
3
seconds
to
change
to
extended
mode.
