Appendix II:
RS-232 Connector Wiring
RS-232 9-Pin D-Connector
The RS-232 connector on the back of the Vortex controller is a
standard female 9-pin D-connector. The laser controller transmits data
on pin 2 and receives data on pin 3 (see below). If you have trouble
communicating with the laser over the RS-232 port, you may need to
use a null-modem adapter or cable.
