Releasing the Shutter
Release Mode
Select Release mode from the Quick settings display to adjust the setting (til 48).
[I] Single frame (default setting)
Camera shoots one photograph each time the shutter-release button is pressed.
!;I!J Continuous (burst mode) rJ! 54
Camera records photographs at up to about three frames per second while the
shutter-release button is pressed. The fastest frame rates can be achieved by
choosing manual focus
(rJ! 61), rotating the mode dial to S or M and selecting a
shutter speed
of l/2sos or faster (rJ! 42, 44), and using defaults for all other settings.

Use for self-portraits or to reduce blurring caused by camera shake. Shutter is
released about ten seconds after the shutter-release button is pressed.
a 2s Delayed remote rJ! 55
Optional Wireless Remote Control ML-L3 required. Use for self-portraits. Shutter is
released about two seconds after the shutter-release button on the remote control
is pressed.
a Quick-response remote rJ! 55
Optional Wireless Remote Control ML-L3 required. Use to reduce blurring caused
by camera
shake. Shutter is released immediately after the shutter-release button
on the remote control is pressed.

At default settings, self-timer mode can be applied by simply pressing ~/Fn. The
release
mode can be changed by holding down ~/Fn and rotating the command
dial
if Release mode is selected for Custom Setting 11 (~/Fn button; rJ! 112).
