Outdoor installation
When installing the unit outdoors, the required level of storm protection depends on how exposed the unit is. It is the responsibility
of the installer to ensure that the unit is adequately secured.
You can protect the unit from storm damage in several ways. Examples of storm protection are shown below.
You can run guidelines through the lifting eyes and
attach them securely to the underlying surface.
You can purchase a storm bracket from Nilan, article
number 77223.
The bracket secures the unit to its foundation.
a. Sheet metal screws (6.3x19) with washer.
Pre-drill using a 4.5 mm bit.
