Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)
Three different types of EGT-sensor inputs are available.
Choose your Temperature input at:
Engine Setup -> Sensors -> Bv Exhaust Temp Source
Nira i7x handles
Throttle or Acceleration Pedal Position (APP)
For Throttle calibration the system needs to be switched on. The procedure
is described in the Online Chapter
5.1.6 Mapping -> Fuel -> Basic
Labels related to Air- and Fuel Mass are found under the fuel map in the
Mappings tab. Prepare tables as far as possible to speed up the process.
Volumetric Efficiency Table
This is the heart of the fuel calibration. It describes the breathing of the
engine, (i.e. the volumetric fill rate of the cylinders).
Before starting you need to select load signal and set up proper axis. For
boosted engines the wizard can help you with preset tables.
Selecting load signal (Volumetric Efficiency Y-axis)
Either the MAP input (speed density calculation) or the TPS input (Alfa-N
calculation) or a combination of the two can be used as the load signal. The
Volumetric Efficiency table has a FlexiPorts™ Y-axis which makes the load
