Vol Eff Compensation Cyl 1-8
Cylinder individual Volumetric Efficiency for all cylinders. If air flow
phenomena change the air distribution in between the cylinders, the fuel
calculations should be adjusted.
With Vol Eff Compensation Cyl 1-8 it’s possible to correct VE for every
cylinder at different speed and load. Use individual lambda sensors or
exhaust gas temperature sensors to evaluate air distribution issues.
96% : VE for this cylinder is -4% related to the value in the Volumetric
Efficiency Table.
100% in these tables means no correction.
103 % VE for this cylinder is +3% related to the value in the Volumetric
Efficiency Table.
The total sum of all cylinders corrections should be as close to zero as
possible. If all cylinder corrections are greater or smaller than zero the
Volumetric Efficiency Table is not correctly calibrated.
Set up proper axis before going online.
The Volumetric Eff Compensation Cyl1-8 tables are equipped with Nira
FlexiPorts™.
The FlexiPorts™ settings for the Volumetric Eff Compensation Cyl1-8 tables
are found under.
Mapping -> Fuel ->Basic -> Vol Eff Comp Cyl 1-8 Y-axis.
If a pure Alpha N is used. Change the Vol Eff Comp Cyl 1-8 Y-axis to values
to AM Throttle position.
FM Lambda Target
FM Lambda target is used to calculate the fuel mass based on the air mass
filled in to the cylinder.
Set up proper axis of the Lambda target based on the Boost target. Presets
are available in the Wizard.
FM Lambda Target is equipped with Nira FlexiPorts™
Default Y-axis is AM Kvol MAP.
The FlexiPorts™ setting for the AM Kvol table is founder under.
Mapping -> Fuel ->Basic -> Flx FM Lambda Target Y.
If a pure Alpha N is used. Change the Flx FM Lambda Target Y to
AM Throttle position.
