To save names and numbers:
1. Press Contacts and select Add contact.
2. Key in the name and press OK. See also Writing text on page 73.
3. Key in the area code and the phone number, and press OK.
4. Select one of the following number types:
Private if the number is a TETRA number other than an abbreviated TETRA
number.
Abbr. number if the number is an abbreviated TETRA number.
Phone if the number is a public telephone network number.
Office ext. if the number is an office extension number.
5. When the name and number are saved, press Done.
Tip: Quick save. In standby mode, key in the phone number, press Options
and select Save. Enter the name and press OK, approve the phone number
with OK and then select the correct number type.
■ Searching for a name
1. Press Contacts and select Search.
2. Either press List to access the list of names, or key in the first character or more
of the name you are searching for and press Search.
3. Scroll to the name you want.
