receive a flash message, the beginning of the message appears on the display.
Flash messages are not automatically saved in the Inbox folder.
4. To send the message to an individual:
• Key in the number and press OK. Then select one of the following number
types and press Send:
Private if the number is a TETRA network number.
Abbr. number if the number is an abbreviated TETRA number.
Phone if the number is a public telephone network number.
Office ext. if the number is an office extension number.
Or
• Search the number from Contacts. Press Search, select Contacts, scroll to
the desired number, press OK and press OK again when the phone number
is displayed. If multiple numbers have been stored for the name, first select
the desired number and then press OK to send the message.
5. To send the message to a talk group, press Search and select Talk groups. Scroll
to the desired group name and press Select.
Note: When sending messages via the short data service (SDS) network service,
your radio may display the words "Message sent". This is an indication that the
message has been sent by your radio. This is not an indication that the message
has been received at the intended destination. For more details about SDS
services, check with your service provider.
