19. Make sure pressure is totally released by turning the regulator knob to “STEAM”
position and floating valve has dropped before opening the lid.
20. DO NOT try to poke at the floating valve under any circumstances while using the
product.
21. Keep hands and face away from the pressure regulator knob when releasing pressure
from the cooker to avoid being scalded by hot steam.
22. After cooking, use extreme caution when removing the lid by facing it away from you.
23. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
24. Close adult supervision must be provided when this appliance is used by or near
children.
25. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

GETTING STARTED: Before First Use
1. Remove all packing materials and manuals from the cooker. Lift out the inner pot and remove
any pieces of paper from under it. Remove the plastic protection from the control panel and
any stickers from the inner pot and stainless steel body.
2. Wash all non-electrical removable parts in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry all parts
thoroughly. Wipe the outer housing and lid with a clean damp cloth. DO NOT clean any parts
in a dishwasher.
3. After thoroughly drying all parts, place the inner pot back into the cooker before cooking.
4. Make sure the silicone gasket is seated properly inside the lid. To ensure correct fitting, fill the
inner pot with two thirds water and run on MANUAL function for 15 mins. (See “Operating
Functions”).
5. Release the pressure by turning the pressure regulator knob to “STEAM”. The floating valve
will drop after pressure is released.
6. Let the appliance cool to room temperature and then empty and clean.
