You can use the delay time setting after choosing a cooking function
to delay the cooking process by up to 24 hours.
Function Default Time Timer
Delay Timer
6 hours
0:10-24:00,
10 minutes increments
Select the desired cooking function and setting. Adjust the time if needed.
Press [DELAY TIMER] and adjust the time by pressing the [ + ] or [ – ]
buttons. Wait for 4 seconds and the delay timer will start to count down
automatically. The NEMPC will begin cooking after the time delay has
elapsed.
n Restore Factory Settings
To restore your NEMPC to its original factory settings, press and hold the
[ + ] or [ – ] button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The unit will beep twice,
indicating that settings have been restored, erasing all saved customized
time settings you have saved using the Smart Timer Memory Function.
NOTE:
Do not set the Delay Timer for more than 1-2 hours when cooking
perishable foods such as meat, poultry, seafood, cheese, and dairy
products. These foods might spoil easily if left too long at room
temperature.
For Example:
At 8:00 am, you prepare the ingredients for your soup that you want
ready at 6:00 pm. Cooking time is 30 minutes. Turn the regulator knob
to PRESSURE. Select SOUP/BROTH function with preset 30 minutes.
Immediately press DELAY TIMER button and adjust the timer to 09:30
(9 hours and 30 minutes) using the + or – button. Wait for 4 seconds
and the unit will start the program automatically. The indicator of “:”
will blink. The unit will start cooking at 5:30 pm once the timer has
ended and your soup will be cooked around 6:00 pm. Please note
that exact cooking time may vary since the unit needs to build the
temperature and/or pressure.
