4. Place the lid on the cooker, align the self-locking pin with the unlock symbol and turn the lid
counterclockwise until it locks into place.
5. Turn the pressure regulator knob to “PRESSURE”.
6. Select your desired pressure cooking function. Press the pressure cooking function button
repeatedly to choose your desired cooking time. If you wish to change these timer settings,
press the [ + ] or [ – ] buttons to adjust. Wait for 4 seconds and the unit will start to heat up
automatically. The display window will show “ON”.The New Smart Memory Function will save
this timer setting for next use.
7. If you want to cancel any selection before program starts, press and hold [WARM/CANCEL]
button for 3 seconds, the unit will return to standby mode.
8. Once pressure has been reached, the unit will start to count down and pressure (Pres) light on
the display window is on. The bottom display window will show the exact pressure (kPa) inside
the unit. This is when your cooking time begins. The floating valve located in the lid will rise,
indicating that there is pressure inside the unit.
9. When cooking time ends, the unit will beep and switch to WARM function, with timer
counting down from 12:00. The display will continue to show the pressure inside the cooker.
Press [CANCEL] button to turn off the WARM function.
10. After the cooking time is up, release the pressure before opening the lid. You have two
options for releasing the pressure:
i) Quick Release Method:
Release the pressure immediately by turning the pressure regulator knob to “STEAM”.
(Do not use this method for thick recipe such as chili, soup or stew).
ii) Natural Release Method:
Release the pressure by allowing the pressure to drop naturally without turning the
pressure regulator knob to “STEAM”. This will take several minutes, during which the food
inside will continue cooking. You will know when the pressure has been released because
the floating valve will drop and pressure indicator on display is off. Only then you will be
able to open the lid.
11. Once all pressure is released, remove the lid by turning it clockwise, lifting it up and tilting it
away from yourself to avoid getting burnt by any remaining steam.
NOTE:
Some foods tend to foam, froth and/or sputter: barley, beans, oatmeal, porridge,
noodle/pasta, etc. These items may block the pressure valve if filled too high in the
inner pot. Do not fill inner pot more than ½ full when pressure cooking these items.
NOTE:
Exact cooking time may vary since the unit needs to build the pressure.
CAUTION:
The steam coming out of the cooker will be hot, and might contain droplets of hot
liquid. Be sure to use oven mitts or kitchen towel when releasing pressure.
!
WARNING:
AFTER COOKING, THE INNER POT WILL BE HOT. USE OVEN MITTS OR KITCHEN
TOWELS TO HANDLE IT OR LET IT COOL DOWN BEFORE REMOVING.
