7 – 2 Changing the battery
ENDO-MATE DT2 uses rechargeable battery� It can be recharged 300-500 times depending on the use
conditions of the control unit� If charge time and use time (for which the “memory effect” described in
“7 1 Battery refresh” is not applicable) becomes short or power is weak, the battery may have reached
the end of their life� In such a case, ask your dealer to replace the battery or replace it with a new one
yourself� When replacing it yourself, be sure to observe the following “CAUTIONS ON CHANGING
BATTERY�” Note that NSK shall not be held liable for any malfunction or failure resulting from your not
following the “CAUTIONS ON CHANGING BATTERY�”
CAUTIONS ON CHANGING THE BATTERY
Do not open any part other than the battery cover
Be sure to always use genuine NSK battery� Use of non-genuine battery can result in breakage,
fluid leakage, rupture, or other problems�
Do not work with wet hands� This may cause trouble due to short-circuiting of the battery and
moisture infiltrating this product�
Do not connect the AC adaptor while the battery is removed from the control unit�
If the battery fluid leaks and gets in your eyes or on your skin or clothing, immediately wash your
eyes and skin thoroughly with running water and see your doctor� Failure to do so may result in
vision loss or skin complications�

Turn off the power, and disconnect the AC
adaptor (

Remove the screw securing the battery cover
on the bottom side of the control unit using a
Phillips screwdriver (
)�

Remove the battery cover ( )�

Take out the old battery, and pull out the
cord (
)�
CAUTION
Make sure to remove the AC adaptor before changing battery� Otherwise, it may cause a
malfunction�
Make sure to pull out the cord by holding the connector Otherwise, it may cause a break in the
cord�
