7. Troubleshooting and repair procedure
7.5.4.1.3 Check version number of the Web browser
Check version number of the Web browser in use.
How to check version number.
For Internet Explorer
Launch the browser and select "HELP"
"Version information".
Recommended version is Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher.
Solution : Install
the newest web browser. Alternately, install the high encryption
pack.
If a
ny version that is older than the recommended version is used,
communication can become possible sometimes when the encryption
strength is set to "Weak". If the encryption strength is set to "Weak",
security level lowers. To change the encryption strength, refer to
section "7.5.4.1.4 Confirm encryption strength of a printer".
For Netscape
Launch the web browser and select "HELP"
"Netscape".
Recommended version is Netscape 6 and higher.
Solution : Install the newest w
eb browser.
