* Specifies the location of PCL default font.
Resident2:It is displayed when the Japanese Heisei
font has been downloaded onto the flash memory.
Downloaded: Displayed when soft font is downloaded
to RAM as permanent designation. Fonts that have
been downloaded to Flash/HDD by the PJL command
will not be displayed on this Menu.
With the HEISEI font model for Japanese market,
Heisei Font is installed; hence, default is Resident2.

* Sets the PCL font number.
The valid range of this variable changes depending on
the FONT SOURCE setting at the time. If the default
font is set for FONT SOURCE, the number starts at 0. If
it is not, the number starts at 1. The maximum value is
equal to the number of fonts installed in FONT
SOURCE. For example, FONT SOURCE has 50 fonts
and a default font, Font No. is a value ranged from 0 to
49. When there is no default font, it ranges from 1 to 50.
FONT No. is related to FONT SOURCE, and when
FONT source changes, FONT NO. is automatically
changed to the lowest FONT No. of the new FONT
SOURCE. (If the new FONT SOURCE sets default font,
it is 0, and if not, it is 1.) S1 is displayed only when soft
font is downloaded with permanent designation.
Furthermore, if FONT SOURCE is S and a certain soft
font is deleted despite that FONT No. is set to the
highest number, the value of FONT SOURCE is
automatically changed to the factory default, and the
value of FONT No. is changed to FONT No. “0” of the
new FONT SOURCE.
C1 is displayed if PCL Kanji Font is in Flash memory.
With Heisei Font Model for Japanese market,
PCL Font is installed; hence, default is C1.
