7.1.2 Current Amplifier CMA 156
The 6-phase current amplifier CMA 156 serves as an additional device to the
CMC 156 test set, for tests that require:
higher currents and/or higher power in the current path than is delivered by
the
CMC 156
up to nine independent current phases.
The six current phases are arranged in two isolated groups and can be used
independently from the phases of the
CMC 156 (e.g. for differential protection
testing). By connecting the current phases in series, a power of up to 280 VA
can be output, which allows the testing of a wide range of electromechanical
relays.
The
CMA 156 is connected via the interface Gen. out 7-12 on the back of the
CMC 156 test set:
