WEP Key
WEP (Wireless Encryption Protocol) is a function that provides secure transfer of data on the
wireless network. If you use a WEP key with your home network, you must input that same WEP
key on your Omnifi DMS1.
To input a WEP key, select WEP.The first choice is to disable WEP. Otherwise, you must choose from
the following key formats:
• 64-bit Alpha (5 alphanumeric characters)
• 128-bit Alpha (13 alphanumeric characters)
• 64-bit Hex (10 characters from a character set limited to 0 through 9
and A through F)
• 128-bit Hex (same character set as 64-bit Hex, but 26 characters long)
When you select one of the WEP key formats above, the display will show a line of character slots
with 0s.The first zero will be highlighted. Use the SCROLL KNOB to change character values.
Use the NAVIGATE RIGHT or NAVIGATE LEFT buttons to move between value slots.
Press the STOP button if you want to cancel out of this input mode. Press the SELECT button to
exit this input mode and save the changes.
Saving Your Changes
When you have completed changes in the Wireless Settings function, press the NAVIGATE LEFT
button. You will be asked if you want to save your changes. Select Yes or No.Your Omnifi may restart
after you make changes.
Video Settings
Video Settings is used to set up your Omnifi device to provide either an S-video or Composite
video output to your TV.This is used for viewing the same menus, with extra lines of text, that
Omnifi displays onto your TV or monitor. This is otherwise known as On Screen Display (OSD).
Select Video Settings, then select TV Output. You will see three options:
• Composite Video (default)
• S-video
• No TV interface
Use the SCROLL KNOB to move between lines and select the mode for your TV input.
The default setting is Composite video.
If you will not use a TV as the visual interface when using the device, select No TV interface. The
result of making this selection is that when playing a song, the first button press on the front panel
controls or on the remote control will change the LCD from the playback the screen to browsing
screen without effecting navigation.
Restore Factory Settings
Selecting Restore Factory Settings will reset all settings.
