With a Serial Communications Board, the following words are always allo-
cated.

1,2,3... 1. Press in the lever on the Inner Board installation cover, first on the top and
then on the bottom, and remove the cover.
First word in Setup Area allocated in DM Area:
m = D30000 + 100 × unit number
(20 words are used beginning from m,
10 words for each port)
First word allocated in the CIO Area:
n = CIO 1500 + 25 × unit number
(all words are used beginning with n)
