Recharging the battery (cordless handset)
Problem Cause and solution
“Recharge battery” is
displayed, “7” flashes
and the cordless handset
beeps every 60 seconds.
L Fully charge the battery (page 16).
“Charge for 7 hrs”
and 8 are displayed
and the cordless handset
does not work.
L The battery has been discharged. Fully charge the
battery (page 16).
I charged the battery fully,
but “Recharge
battery” is still
displayed and “7”
continues to flash, or
“Charge for 7 hrs”
and 8 are displayed.
L Clean the charge contacts and charge again.
L The battery may need to be replaced (page 96). If you
install a new battery, fully charge it (page 16).
The CHARGE indicator
light does not go out after
the battery has been
charged.
L This is normal.
The cordless handset
display is blank.
L Confirm that the battery is properly installed (page 16).
L Fully charge the battery (page 16).
