nserting and removing the card (optional)/
the battery
Check that no foreign objects are adhered to the camera. (15)
Turn off the power and open
the card/battery door

Slide the [LOCK] switch ( ) in
the direction of the arrow until
the red area ( ) is visible
The lock is unlocked.
Slide the release lever ( ) to the
[LOCK] switch side
The card/battery door opens.
Charged battery (check orientation)

Insert the battery and card,
making sure that their
orientation is correct
Battery: Insert all the way firmly until
a locking sound is heard,
and check that the lever is
hooked over the battery.
Card: Insert all the way firmly until it
clicks.
Close the card/battery door

While the [LOCK] switch is
unlocked, push the card/battery
door closed until it clicks
Lock the [LOCK] switch by
sliding it in the direction of the
arrow until the red area is no
longer visible
To remove
To remove battery:
move lever in direction of arrow.
To remove card:
press down in centre.

About the card/battery door
If the card/battery door is opened when the power is on, a warning sounds to alert
against water entering the camera, and the following message is displayed on the LCD
monitor.
The camera cannot be operated when the card/battery door is open. (Only the Power
button can be operated.) Close the door properly, making sure that no foreign objects
are trapped.
If any foreign objects are adhered, remove them with the supplied brush.
No messages are displayed when the terminal cover is open. Although camera
operations are possible, close the cover properly before using the camera, making
sure that no foreign objects are trapped.
Always use genuine Panasonic batteries.
If you use other batteries, we cannot guarantee the quality of this
product.
Remove battery from camera after use.
Store the battery in battery case (supplied).
To remove the card or battery, turn the camera off and wait until
the LCD monitor display is completely blank. (Failure to wait may
cause the camera to malfunction and may damage the card or recorded data.)
Keep the Memory Card out of reach of children to prevent swallowing.
