This is the input terminal for command pulses. The driver receives
this signal by a high-speed photo coupler.
•
The input impedance of PULSE and SIGN signals is 220É∂.
•
Command pulses can be input in three different ways. Use
Pr42 to select one of the following.
1) Quadrature (A and B) input
2) CW (PULSE)/CCW (SIGN) pulse input
3)
Command pulse
(PULS)/Sign (SIGN) input

With COM- closed, the numerator of the command scalar is
changed from the value stored in Pr46 (Numerator of 1st Com-
mand Scalar) to the value stored in Pr47 (Numerator of 2nd
Command Scalar).
< Note >
Don't enter command pulses 10 ms after or be-
fore switching.
• Connect a backup battery for absolute encoder
(pole-sensitive !).

f the battery is connected directly to the driver, it is not neces-
sary to connect a battery to this terminal.
