Chapter 6Maintenance — Maintenance/replacement
ENGLISH - 221
For the Long Life Filter Unit
This section describes the replacement procedure of the air lter unit when the optional Long Life Filter Unit
(Model No.: ET-EMFU330) is attached instead of the standard air lter unit attached to the projector.
The Long Life Filter Unit uses two of the same standard air lters attached to the projector or the Replacement
Filter Unit (Model No.: ET-EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory).
1) Remove the two air filter units from the long life filter cover.
f Refer to “Removing the air lter unit” (x page 217) of the Long Life Filter Unit.
2) Attach the two Replacement Filter Units (Model No.: ET-EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory) to
the long life filter cover.
f Refer to “Attaching the air lter unit” (x page 219) of the Long Life Filter Unit.
3) Attach the long life filter cover to the long life filter mount clasp.
f Refer to “Attaching the long life lter cover” (x page 219) of the Long Life Filter Unit.
4) Resetting the filter counter
f Refer to “Resetting the lter counter” (x page 220) of the Long Life Filter Unit.
Note
f When switching on the projector, make sure that the air lter unit is attached. If it is not attached, the projector will suck in dirt and dust
causing a malfunction.
f When the projector is used without resetting the lter counter, the actual lter runtime (counter numeric value) will not be able to be
conrmed.
f Refer to “Attaching the Long Life Filter Unit (optional)” (x page 264) for the procedure to attach the optional Long Life Filter Unit (Model
No.: ET-EMFU330) instead of the standard air lter unit attached to the projector.
