Resetting the lter counter
1) Turn on the power of the projector.
2) Press the <MENU> button on the remote control or control panel.
f The [MAIN MENU] screen is displayed.
3) Press as to select [PROJECTOR SETUP].
4) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [PROJECTOR SETUP] screen is displayed.
5) Press as to select [FILTER SETTING].
6) Press the <ENTER> button.
f The [FILTER SETTING] screen is displayed.
7) Press as to select [FILTER COUNTER RESET], and press the <ENTER> button.
8) When the confirmation screen is displayed, press qw to select [OK], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [STATUS] → [FILTER COUNTER] is displayed as “0”.
Note
f When the projector is used without resetting the lter counter, the actual lter runtime (counter numeric value) will not be able to be
conrmed.
Replacing the unit
Filter
If dirt does not come off even after the air lter unit is maintained, it is time for the unit to be replaced.
The Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET-EMF330) is an optional accessory. To purchase the product, consult
your dealer.
Attention
f Make sure to turn off the power before replacing the lter. (x pages 59, 69)
f Make sure that the projector is stable, and perform the maintenance in a safe place even if the lter falls accidentally.
Note
f The replacement cycle of the air lter unit varies greatly depending on the usage environment.
For the air lter unit
The section describes the replacement procedure of the standard air lter unit attached to the projector.
This air lter unit is the same as the Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET-EMF330) (accessory/optional
accessory).
1) Remove the air filter unit.
f Refer to “Removing the air lter unit” (x page 215) of the standard air lter unit.
2) Attach the Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET-EMF330) (accessory/optional accessory) to the
projector.
f Refer to “Attaching the air lter unit” (x page 216) of the standard air lter unit.
3) Reset the filter counter.
f Refer to “Resetting the lter counter” (x page 217) of the standard air lter unit.
Attention
f When switching on the projector, make sure that the air lter unit is attached. If it is not attached, the projector will suck in dirt and dust
causing a malfunction.
f When the projector is used without the air lter unit attached, the lter indicator <FILTER> lights up in red.
f When the projector is used without resetting the lter counter, the actual lter runtime (counter numeric value) will not be able to be
conrmed.
