Disk format
1 Click the [Config.] button.
The authentication window will be displayed.
2 Enter the administrator name and the password,
and then click the [OK] button.
The disk configuration page will be displayed.
Format the hard disk drive according to your needs when adding or replacing the hard disk drive or when connect-
ing an extension unit. It is possible to format the hard disk drives individually or all of them at the same time. (When
operating in the RAID 5 or RAID 6 mode, format them at the same time.)
It is necessary to divide the hard disk drives into the normal recording area, event recording area, copy area and
pre-event recording area.
When the hard disk drive is formatted, all the recorded data will be deleted.
Format
Assignment of event recording area and copy area, and formatting of the hard disk drives can be performed.
 • Newlyinstalledunformattedharddiskdriveswillautomaticallybeformattedasthenormalrecordingareawhen
they are recognized.
 • Itwilltakearound30secondstoformatasingleharddiskdrive.
Important:
 • WhentheHDDDISKMENUisdisplayed,alloperations(includingrecordingandplayback)excepttheHDD
DISK MENU operation will stop.
 • WhentheHDDDISKMENUisdisplayed,allotheruserswillforciblybeloggedout.Allotherusersaccessing
this recorder will also forcibly be logged out when performing the HDD unit installation/uninstallation.
 • WhenexitingfromtheHDDDISKMENU,besuretoclickthe[Main]button.Donotclickthe[X]buttonatthetop
right of the window, otherwise it may cause malfunction.
