Serial Ethernet Recovery Flexcan (SERF) Development Board
8.2. Available Inputs and Outputs
The SERF Development Board offers direct connectivity to the following Inputs
and Outputs for the PHDs.
5VDC, 12VDC and Ground connections
12VDC or 24VDC Power Supply
GPIO 1 through 10
RS232 Communication
CAN Bus 1 and 2
CAN Bus 1 and 2 Termination Resistor
Ethernet Communication (Reserved for Future Use)
Audio L and R, Input and Output (Reserved for Future Use)
In addition to the above I/O, the SERF Development Board has pin locations and
power supplies to add on a daughter board for matrix keypad or encoder inputs.
The corresponding I/O is labeled on the SERF Development Board. Note that
“External” indicates the connection from the PHD to an external device such as a
PC, possibly through an adapter cable.
Below is an image of the SERF Development board. All the switches and ports
are labeled. There are several jumpers to enable certain features.
