740 Portable Suspended Solids
14 Battery Charging
14.1 Battery
The instrument contains a Nickel Metal Hydride battery pack that supplies it power for
operation. This type of battery has been selected for its ease of use - it does not have
to be fully discharged prior to charging. It is therefore possible to "top up" the battery
charge as and when required, this is particularly useful prior to the instrument being
used for a long period.
14.2 Charger
The 740 Monitor can be charged using either the mains or car charger available from
Partech. When connected to the monitor, the charging LED gives a visual indication of
charging status.
