A.3 HANDLE REVISIONS
There have been two major variations of the handle design before the current model. See Figure A.3-1.

Handle Revisions
The trigger guard is an important safety feature that was added to minimize the chances of accidental activation.
A sheet metal guard attached with screws was originally available as an option but was made a standard feature in
2013.
In 2019 this design was replaced by an integrated trigger guard that is non-removable. This prevents the operator
from removing the guard and causing an unsafe condition. The design also improves operator comfort since the
protruding screw heads are removed.
If desired, the older model handles can be replaced by purchasing the new version. The sub-assembly (5211-002)
also includes an installed trigger, so the rework options described in Appendix A.1 are not necessary.
