performa‘rationalitycheck’everytime
thevehicleisstarted.Thischeckis
toensurethattheservicebrakesare
workingbeforeallowingcruisecontrol
tofunction.Thissafetyfeatureis
designedtoensurethatadriverisable
tocancelthecruisesetspeedbyusing
theservicebrakepedal.Thesystem
willnotallowcruisecontroloperationif
itdoesnotpassthe‘rationalitycheck’.
TheDriverInformationDisplaywill
promptyoutopresstheservicebrake
pedalifithasnotbeenpressedsince
thevehiclehasbeenstarted.
RegenerationSwitch
Inordertomeet2007EPAengine
emissionrequirements,vehicles
willhaveaeitheratwoorthree
positionswitchtohelpcontroland
maintaintheexhaustDieselParticulate
Filter.PleaserefertotheExhaust
AftertreatmentSystemSupplement
providedwiththevehicleformore
detailedinformationabouttheemission
controlsystem.
START:Depressingthebuttoninthe
STARTdirectionfor4to8secondswill
initiateaparkedregeneration.Besure
toreleasethebuttontoensurethat
thesystemwillbegintheregeneration
cycle.
CENTER:(threepositionswitchonly)
Centeristhenormalpositionofthe
switch.Thecenterpositionwillallow
anautomaticregenerationtooccur.
STOP:(threepositionswitchonly)
WhenSTOPispressedthesystemwill
notregenerateunderanyconditions.
CAUTION
Donotleavethethreeposition
switchintheSTOPpositionunless
youneedtocancelorstopregen-
eration.Leavingtheswitchinthe
STOPpositionforextendedperiods
oftimewillresultinincreasedsoot
levelsintheDPF .
