withyourvehicle.
Thisfeaturehelpsimprovetraction
whenvehiclesareonslipperysurfaces
orsurfaceswithpoortraction(i.e.
mudorsnow)byreducingdrivewheel
overspin.Automatictractioncontrol
worksintwodifferentways:
•Ifadrivewheelstartstospin,
ATCappliesairpressuretobrake
thewheel.Thistransfersengine
torquetothewheelswithbetter
traction.
•Ifalldrivewheelsspin,ATC
reducesenginetorquetoprovide
improvedtraction.
ATCturnsitselfonandoff,youdo
nothavetoselectthisfeature.If
drivewheelsspinduringacceleration,
theATCWarningLampcomeson,
indicatingwheelspincontrolisactive.
DonotallowtheATCWarningLamp
toremainoncontinuouslyforan
extendedlengthoftime.Extended,
continuoususeoftheATCcancause
overheatingofthedrivewheelbrakes.
DeepSnowandMudSwitch(option)
Adeepsnowandmudswitchis
includedwithWheelSpinControl.The
DeepSnowandMudfeatureishelpful
duringacceleration.Thisfunction
increasesavailabletractiononextra
softsurfaceslikesnow,mudorgravel,
byslightlyincreasingthepermissible
wheelspin.Whenthisfunctionisin
use,theATCWarningLampblinks
continuously.
Off-RoadABSFunctionSwitch
(option)
Yourvehiclemaybeequippedwith
aseparateswitchtoactivatean
Off-RoadABSfunction.Thisfunction
isNOTtobeusedforOn-Highway
drivingbutisintendedtobeused
toimprovestoppingperformancein
Off-Highwayconditions(e.g.loose
gravelandmud).TheOff-RoadABS
